When the CMO of SageWater asked if I would join his team to support their marketing efforts and help grow the business, I jumped at the opportunity. While I didn’t know anything about commercial repiping, I took the time to understand their industry, their product/service offering and their competitors.
Over the six years that we worked together, I wrote and edited blog posts, ghostwrote articles for trade publications, developed content for marketing materials such as bios, speaker profiles for industry events, brochures and project case studies for email and direct mail campaigns.
I was also a partner in their marketing strategy planning where we aligned our marketing efforts to the growth goals and needs of the national sales team, resulting in increased leads and sales.

Working with this client was such a cool opportunity. A rancher and horseman with an entrepreneurial spirit, he had a brilliant product idea. During a horse lesson, he told me about his product, a push-in tire valve stem to help farmers and anyone with outdoor equipment like tractors, ATVs, UTVs, etc… quickly repair a flat when a valve stem breaks. He was working towards a patent and getting it manufactured. He was also thinking ahead to all the strategic and tactical marketing aspects involved with launching the product, from partnering with suppliers to get it in the hands of consumers, creating a website, building a social media presence and more. He needed someone to help lay that foundation. Excited to help share his story and with my entrepreneurial spirit inspired, I helped design and create content for the product website, researched industry partners and conferences for product marketing, created and launched Facebook campaigns to reach their target audience, and served as a sounding board. Today, QuikStem (patented) is thriving and sold by over ten online retailers.
